Christian Youth Theater presents the musical play, “Oliver!” at Valley Springs Church in Roseville.   Adapted from the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens, this classic story comes alive on stage in 19th century London.  CYT is partnering with Placer Foodbank and will also be collecting non-perishable food items during its production of Oliver!  $14, Friday and Saturday. http://www.cytsacramento.org/shows/Oliver-9

William Jessup University’s Creative Arts department presents Irving Berlin’s “White Christmas” over two weekends beginning Friday.  Come early for the one hour pre-show that includes a variety of events designed for the whole family. Better Decisions Counseling Services in Rancho Cordova, hosts the 2nd Annual PTSD Awareness Community Chili Cook Off on Saturday. The event includes children’s activities, Metro Fire and other community friends.  This special event raises funds for counseling scholarships to help those with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder), as well as, to raise awareness about PTSD, which is best known for affecting war veterans, but people in other high-stress positions like firefighters, police officers, EMTs, doctors, nurses, and victims of domestic violence. 10am to 3pm.  http://www.betterdecisionsinc.org/
