Sacramento’s Farm To Fork Festival is Saturday on the Capitol Mall.  Designed to showcase where our food and drinks come from, the 2014 Festival features food trucks, restaurants and kids’ activities including a petting zoo.  There’s also live music.  11am to 6pm.  Free admission.  http://www.farmtofork.com/festival-info/

This is the last weekend of the season to ride the Sacramento Southern Railroad.  Trains depart hourly from the California State Railroad Museum in Old Sac.  Ride behind a working locomotive as it rolls along the levees of the Sacramento River. It’s a six-mile, 45-minute round trip excursion along the levees of the Sacramento River.  (Through 9/28.)  http://www.csrmf.org/
